This tour was to cover projects in the Middle Belt, Bohpal, in "Gopi Land" (Andrah Pradesh), Tamil Nadu and around Chandigarh. I travelled mainly with Rahul Joshi and of course Gopi and had as always a good time. To SEL in Bohpal I traveled with my friend Suresh Kuttinath. There we hoped to fetch a big contract for a huge project planned by SEL. Unfortunately the venture run into financial problems and came to a grinding halt.
With Gopi I stayed as usual in Vijyawada and traveled to Guntur to visit our customers in the area. Most prominently "The Wanderer" who bought from us one "The Vision Shield" after some visits in his open-air office under a Mango tree. The Director had the habit to "wander around" to consider our proposals and so got his nickname! Gopi also organized a trip to Yercaud Hill Station, situation 31 km from Salem. It's a cool place up the mountains. At the end of the tour we attended a yearly Textile Machinery Exhibiton in Chandigarh. This was my last trip without my crippling back pains!
