JOSSI "SKI-DAY" DAVOS 12.02.2011
Early morning up to reach Frauenfeld at 06:30. Stress with parking and than a relaxing bus ride to Davos. Ski Rental was reasonable fast. Dragging myself to the cable car and up to the Jakobshorn a bit unnerving and so I needed a beer to put me in a sort of holiday mood. A phone call from Rolf interrupted my rest and I had to face the challenge to descent to the Jatz Hut, where all gathered. It was not far, but the skis never did what I intended them to do. I struggled with my goggles and too big glasses, which always hopelessly fogged up. After almost 3 years of alpine inactivity, I feared to have lost it. Anyway I made it to target, albeit a bit nacked! After a short rest, the JOSSI party decided to hit the slopes. For me, the rest of the day was a bit lonely and frustrating. I tried to come to grasp with my skiing and after some exhausting detours, I managed to reach the Middle Station. A cold beer! At 15:00 my colleagues arrived. All where very joyful and obviously enjoyed their day! Walter offered a round, which helped to lift my spirits further. The way back to Frauenfeld was uneventful and I closed the day reflecting on my ordeal, coming to the conclusion to blame myself for not doing enough to keep physical fit! Of course also this has it's dangers...! I almost forgot: It was a beautiful, sunny day and in retro, it was fun!
SlideShow: Indonesia, Vietnam
From Dubai I flew for the first time the Airbus A380. Same food, same lack of leg space and not enough toilets. Nothing new really! Stayed a week in Korea and than proceeded to Indonesia for a 3 weeks visit. A lot of heavy rain. However always "the Agansa Boy's" took good care of me () From Jakarta I went on to Ho Chi Ming City to attend the Saigontex and made some customer visits with Freddy Wu.
PHILLIPINES & MALAYSIA a successful survey 21.-28.05.2011
Raul Manapat requested me to visit a customer near Manila and I decided to include Malaysia to visit some customers with with Mr. Tan. As always the time frame of one week was a bit ambiguous and Sight-Seeing fell definitely short! Otherwise it was worth while and the next time a will take it easier! Luckily on the way home Emirate got a seat directly from Koala Lumpur to Dubai that saved me a trip back to Manila. On the other hand a had a stay of 8 hour at Dubai airport to catch my flight to Zürich. That's time for many beers at the Irish Pub!
JOSSI Segway Tour Zürich 24.07.2011
SlideShow: Segway Tour in Zürich
It was decided that our company outing is a Zürich City Tour on a Segway. I had no idea what it was all about and was looking, with mixed feelings, forward to the experience. At least it was nothing exhausting. It has all to do with shifting your weight forward and backward, a and control direction with the handlebar. That's a bit tricky should you loose balance when dismounting, never hold on to the bar! A movement to the right or left will spin the JOSSI/Segway violently around and you are ending up in the gutter! I did anyway!A steep climb needs to get used to and my brand new "Vario Glases" gave me extra Vertigo. Anyway, the learning curve is not very steep.
After a few tumbles and bends to my Ego I soon enjoyed the ride. We crossed the Lake Zürich by boat and had an excellent dinner at the Restaurant Belcanto in the Opernhaus. We all went home happy and an experience richer.

INDONESIA & VIETNAM 30.08. - 20.12.2011

SlideShow: Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillipines, Vietnam & Japan, 2011
After ITMA 2011 in Barcelona, there where 2 further trips for 2011 on the agenda:

1. Indonesia and Vietnam (3 weeks)
2. Korea, Japan, Philippines and Malaysia (4 weeks)

Both passed without any incident only my old knee & leg problems (Arthritis I guessed bit it was not that easy!) troubled me for the last 2 weeks. An extended tour of PT APAC INTI CORPORA (APACINTI) almost "killed" me. A Cortison injection, when back home, fixed it for the time being! I'm aware that that is not much of a Report. I promise to do better again in 2012! At least I made some pictures. It seems I`m too busy running around neglecting my website! Maybe one day I find time to add some comments!
Let's give it a try:
I started in Indonesia, than flew to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City / Vietnam) where I spent some time with Freddy Wu (SaigonTex).

On to Seoul (Korea), visiting with Benjamin Paik the Starbuck having some Cafe Machiatta. Customers visits and Business Lunches mainly sitting on the wooden floor getting down like a sac of cement and coming up like an Old Hippo.

From Korea I flew to Fukuoka where I met Walter Kiechl, my boss. We visited customers on Kyusu and Shikoku Island with Justin. We proceeded to Osaka where Walter went home

I flew to Manila than Kuala Lumpur and as last station Jakarta.
Via Muskat a got back home!
