"Sales Engineer" for RIETER (Parts New Products PN)
After working since 2001 in the Back-Office of the Machinery Sales Department, my boss and mentor, Peter Illy informed me that there would be an opening
in the Parts Sales Department, mainly pushing The Vision Shield and some other products (New Products) in the Asian market. I applied for the position and after
a while I got the position. My sales area was world wide but we soon concentrated on the Eastern half of it, while Max StÃ¶hr looked after the West. That gave me a lot of room to roam around and since
my new boss, Silvano Rufo, let me doing my stuff without undue interference I was very happy and we all had a good time.
I stayed in this position until my (1st) retirement in June 2010. Than I joined JOSSI SYSTEMS
, the manufacturers of "The Vision Shield"
where I looked mainly after India, China and South East Asia. But that is another

This was my first trip to China and a dream come true! Karl-Heinz Frick to MD of Rieter China invited us: (Anya, Thomas Bachmann amd myself to conduct a "Roadshow" among Centres of the Chinese Textile Industry. We enjoyed it very much
and was a very good introduction to this very interesting country.
